Dawson County Candidate Forum Set for April 20 - Make Plans to Attend

As the Advocacy Sponsor for this event, members are encouraged to take part in this important opportunity to hear directly from candidates who will help shape the future of our region. A Candidate Forum will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Dawson County High School Performing Arts Center, with doors opening at 5:30 PM and the program beginning at 6:00 PM.
This forum will feature candidates for several key offices, including:
Dawson County Board of Commissioners – District 3
Georgia State House – District 9
Georgia State Senate – District 51
Moderated by Mandy Power, President & CEO of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce, the event will follow a structured, moderated Q&A format, giving attendees the chance to hear directly from candidates on the issues that matter most to our industry and communities.
With early voting beginning April 27 and Election Day set for May 19, this forum comes at a critical time for voters to become informed and engaged.
All members are strongly encouraged to attend, invite colleagues, and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with candidates and better understand where they stand on key issues impacting real estate and our communities.REALTOR® support in events like this underscores the importance of REALTOR® involvement in the public policy process.
